Beaufort woman’s death related to car fire believed to be suicide

A Beaufort woman’s death Friday related to a car fire is believed to have been a suicide, Beaufort County Coroner Ed Allen said Monday.

The woman’s body was found after firefighters responded to a car fire in the 1000 block of Greene Street just before noon Friday.

State fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
