Close call: Woman says bullet hit her car — while she was standing next to it

Two vehicles were damaged after shots were fired outside of a Seabrook business on Trask Parkway early Sunday morning.

No one was injured during the incident, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report. A Chevrolet Tahoe and a GMC Yukon were both hit by bullets just after 1:30 a.m. near Seabrook Road.

One woman told responding deputies that she was getting ready to get in her vehicle when the shots rang out, striking her driver’s side door, according to the report. She said there were people on either side of the business and in the roadway who were shooting.
