This St. Helena Island thief could have an eye in the sky

A thief helped himself to video games and a drone after breaking into a St. Helena Island storage shed on Tuesday.

Over $2,000 worth of electronics and other items including the drone, a television, various video games and an XBox 1 were stolen after someone broke the lock on a Sea Island Parkway home’s shed, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report.

The owner had moved many of his belongings to the shed after his house flooded during Hurricane Matthew, according to the report. The items were stolen some time between 7:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. The items were valued at $2,028.
