Beaufort County schools’ CFO, a district veteran, is retiring

Phyllis White, the head of finances for the Beaufort County School District, will retire at the end of the year.

White, the district’s chief finance and operations officer, has been with the school system since August 2000. Her last day is Dec. 30, according to district spokesman Jim Foster.

A search for White’s replacement is underway, he said.
