Walmart work will affect Lady’s Island traffic this week

Lanes will be shifted near the site of the new Walmart on Lady’s Island this week.

Both lanes on Sea Island Parkway between the Airport Circle entrances will be shifted daily to the center median Wednesday through Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and on Thursday night from 5:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. The shifts are weather dependent.

These temporary shifts are due to paving of the turn lanes and connecting the water line to the new Walmart.

Drivers traveling near the project’s construction zone are asked to be aware of crews and traffic control signs.
