Hargray project temporarily disrupts Beaufort County government’s internet
A cut in the fiber optic cable associated with a Hargray Communications project on Boundary Street in Beaufort caused Beaufort County government offices to lose network connectivity on Wednesday.
The result was interruptions in internet, email, telephone systems and other services, according to a county news release.
Hargray dispatched technicians to repair the cable line and services were restored shortly before 5 p.m. Wednesday, the release said.
