Penn Center has a new face to lead its education programs.

Tonya Allen has been named the director of education and personnel, according to a news release. She was previously the director of education at The Children’s Center on Hilton Head Island and has taught for more than 20 years.

Jenkins has been a board member of Beaufort County First Steps, a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, a certified trainer for the American Red Cross, and been involved with the National Honor Society and South Carolina Center for Child Care Career Development, the release said.
