‘Small Business Saturday’ a call to support local merchants

Northern Beaufort County will join a nationwide campaign encouraging residents and visitors to shop local this weekend ahead of Christmas.

“Small Business Saturday” will be recognized by businesses in Beaufort, Port Royal and the Sea Islands on Saturday. The radio station 104.9 The Surf will broadcast live from downtown Beaufort from 10 a.m. until noon, in Port Royal from noon to 2 p.m. and at Grayco on Lady’s Island from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Elected officials in Beaufort County, Beaufort and Port Royal passed proclamations recognizing the campaign.
