Beaufort County treasurer to auction properties online

The Beaufort County Treasurer’s Office will conduct a live online public auction at 1 p.m. on Dec. 5 for delinquent properties owned by Daufuskie Embarkment, LLC, FIG Daufuskie 1, LLC, FIG Beach Cottages, LLC, and FIG Beach Club, LLC, as a result of a fraudulent tax payment.

The auction will be conducted through the Meares Auction Group, according to a treasurer’s office news release.

A complete list of properties for auction will be identified and advertised in the Beaufort Gazette, Island Packet, and The State newspapers, beginning Nov. 13 and each Sunday thereafter until the online public auction or taxes are paid, the release said.

Auction bidder registration will begin at noon on Nov. 21.
