Hurricane Matthew disaster recovery centers open in Beaufort, Hilton Head Island

Hurricane Matthew disaster recovery centers are now open in Beaufort and Hilton Head Island.

The centers serve as one-stop shops to assist individuals applying for assistance through the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Specialists from FEMA, the U.S. Small Business Administration and other agencies are on hand to answer questions and provide information on the types of assistance available, according to a Beaufort County news release.

The recovery centers are open at the following times and locations:

▪ 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Wednesday at Burton Wells Recreation Center, 1 Middleton Recreation Dr., Beaufort

▪  9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m on Saturdays at Hilton Head Island Town Hall, 1 Town Center Court, Hilton Head Island
