You can soon bring trailers to county convenience centers, but not storm debris
Starting Saturday, the Beaufort County convenience centers in Bluffton, Hilton Head Island, Shanklin and St. Helena Island will resume allowing trailers of non-storm generated debris.
Trailers containing construction debris can be no larger than 5-by-8 feet, according to a county news release.
The centers are not taking yard debris or Hurricane Matthew storm-generated debris.
Residents should continue to sort yard debris and storm-generated construction debris into separate piles and leave them on the right-of-way at their residence, the release said.
