Hope Haven of the Lowcountry to host fall open house
Hope Haven of the Lowcountry will host a fall open house so the community can learn about the work of the child advocacy and rape crisis center in Beaufort, a group press release said.
The event will be from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at 1212 Charles St. in Beaufort. It includes a tour of the facility, a presentation from director Shauw Chin Capps and refreshments.
In 2015, Hope Haven helped718 individuals, including 588 child abuse and sexual violence survivors, the news release said. The nonprofit organization provides child forensic interviews, crisis counseling, victim advocacy, evidence-based mental health treatment, family support, law enforcement partnerships and educational programs.
