Several local burn bans have been lifted, including the ban in Bluffton.

Bluffton Township Fire District spokesman Capt. Randy Hunter urged residents to use caution and follow local guidelines for burning.

Residents in the unincorporated areas of Beaufort County must contact the South Carolina Forestry Commission at 800-895-7062 prior to burning.

A burn ban in the town of Port Royal is still in effect, according to town manager Van Willis.
