The town of Port Royal remained without power Sunday morning following Hurricane Matthew, but crews are working to restore the grid.
Crews have cleared most of the access to homes and businesses but are addressing about 30 more places where trees are on roads, Town Manager Van Willis said. Town staff are also out cleaning up.
A curfew remains in effect today for the town at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Beaufort-Port Royal firefighters were going door-to-door logging possible structural damage. The town of Port Royal does have running water.
The evacuation order for Beaufort County remained in place Sunday morning. Those who already have a primary, secondary or security re-entry pass are allowed to come back.
