Autopsy: Burton man killed by multiple gunshot wounds
An autopsy has confirmed that a 61-year-old Burton man died as the result of multiple gunshot wounds.
The body of Benjamin Campbell was found early Tuesday morning on Stanley Farm Road, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
A forensic autopsy performed at Medical University of South Carolina on Wednesday indicated he died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release Thursday morning.
The investigation into Campbell’s murder is ongoing.
