What’s all that racket going on at the Dairy Queen on Lady’s Island?
The absence of the famous DQ lips on the Dairy Queen at 115 Sea Island Parkway on Lady’s Island might make it harder to spot from the road, but don’t be fooled — it’s still open.
The restaurant is being remodeled and going through a “modernization” process, according to a Beaufort County building permit posted on the building.
Workers could be seen Wednesday outside the Dairy Queen, which no longer has a facade.
Inside the restaurant, things appear to be running business as usual; customers can still come inside, order and eat and the drive-thru is still operating.
