Beaufort mayor to meet Lady’s Island group on development issues

Beaufort Mayor Billy Keyserling will meet with representatives from a Lady’s Island citizens group Wednesday over development along the Sea Island Parkway.

Keyserling will meet the Sea Island Corridor Coalition at 8:30 a.m. in the conference room at Beaufort County Airport, at 39 Airport Circle on Lady’s Island. Keyserling is expected to address the city’s annexation and zoning along the Sea Island Parkway.

The Sea Island Corridor Coalition submitted a number of questions in advance of the meeting related to development and preservation along the stretch of road, including issues related to Whitehall and the new Walmart site.

The meeting is open to the public.
