Community contributions: Deep Well Project
Danny is a 73-year-old man living in a mobile home that is in constant need of repair.
Deep Well volunteers have patched the home many times, but last spring the water heater broke.
Danny receives a $700 social security check and works 20 hours a week at one of the school cafeterias, so he did not have the money for a new water heater.
Deep Well purchased a new one and paid a plumber to install it.
Deep Well provides a broad range of social services for poor working families, the disabled, the sick and the elderly.
