Love cars, pinups and a good cause? Cars Against Cancer unveils 2017 calendar to help fund cancer research

The inaugural Hilton Head Cars Against Cancer car meet held July 9 drew a crowd of more than 300 people with 76 car entries. The show raised more than $6,000 for cancer research in just under four hours. Organizers of Hilton Head Cars Against Cancer will print calendars with photos from the show in order to raise additional funds to aid cancer research.

The 2017 calendars are available for purchase at these locations on the island:

▪  Hilton Head Ice Cream, 55 New Orleans Drive

▪  Tara’s Salon, 55 New Orleans Drive

▪  Joe’s Barbershop, 115 Arrow Road

▪  Land Speed Automotive, 6 Finch St.

▪  Advanced Auto Body, 10 Cardinal Road

Those who would just like to donate to the cause can send checks or cash to Hilton Head Ice Cream Shop at 55 New Orleans Drive, Suite 104 on Hilton Head Island. Checks should be made payable to the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry. Organizers will send a calendar to those who mail in donations, in addition to a shirt, hat and bumper sticker from the show while supplies last. Donors should provide a shirt size when mailing donations.

Cars Against Cancer Fund is a charitable fund of the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry, a 501c3 organization. Donations are tax deductible as allowable by law.
