Hilton Head Council member’s request for restraining order in court today

A Hilton Head Town Council member’s request for a restraining order against a local government critic is on today’s docket at the Beaufort County Courthouse.

Kim Likins recieved a temporary restraining order against Skip Hoagland, a Windmill Harbour resident, late last year after he questioned her ability to run the Boys and Girls Club of Hilton Head Island. The order prohibits Hoagland from harassing Likins or mentioning her employment with the club.

Likins also has filed a lawsuit against Hoagland asking the court for unspecific damages for what she calls the mental and emotional distress caused by Hoagland’s “campaign of intimidation, defamation, bullying and other misconduct.”
