The Salvation Army wants your back-to-school donations

The Salvation Army began its collection of back-to-school items July 1.

The charity is now collecting backpacks; facial tissues; highlighters; glue; markers; No. 2 pencils; Post-it notes; calculators; loose-leaf paper; rulers; hand sanitizer; erasers; colored pencils; crayons; three-ring binders; composition notebooks; red, black and blue pens; and one-, three- and five-subject notebooks.

Donated items may be dropped off at 2505 North St. in Beaufort.

Items collected will go to families in Beaufort, Jasper, Colleton and Hampton counties.
