S.C. Department of Insurance to hold info sessions before hurricane season

The S.C. Department of Insurance will hold two public meetings in Bluffton to provide residents with information about the upcoming hurricane season.

To help residents prepare for potential hurricanes, the department is hosting the annual coastal property information session and hearing regarding the status of the coastal property insurance market at 6 p.m. June 2 at Bluffton’s Town Hall, 20 Bridge St.

At 10 a.m. June 4, department representatives and vendors will hold a storm readiness expo at Home Depot, 20 Gateway Village Rd, Bluffton.

The events are free and open to the public.
