Islanders’ Beach Park parking reduced for beach renourishment deliveries

Parking restrictions are in place at Islanders’ Beach Park because of the need for trucks to deliver pipeline for an imminent beach renourishment project.

The Town of Hilton Head Island announced the restrictions Thursday for some areas of the park. The town suggests Folly Field and Driessen Beach parks, or the Burkes Beach Road access, if spaces in unrestricted areas of Islanders’ Beach Park are filled.

Annual parking pass holders can use reserved spaces at Driessen Beach Park without paying additional fees. If reserved spaces in the unrestricted areas of Islanders’ Beach Park are filled, annual pass holders can call (843) 342-4580 on weekdays or (843) 342-4586 on weekends for parking directions.
