March Madness: Who will be the last school standing? (Vote for your favorite Beaufort, Jasper County schools)
How far will no. 2 seed Beaufort High make it?
What will happen when Hilton Head Christian Academy faces Hilton Head Prepatory School?
Can anyone stop no. 1 seed Bluffton High?
If this sounds like something out of the sports pages, good. That’s the point.
Sixty-eight college basketball teams are prepping for the 2016 NCAA Tournament. The winner will earn the title of the top collegiate team in the country.
Here in the Lowcountry, nearly 60 area schools — public to private, charter to faith-based — have been seeded by The Island Packet & Beaufort Gazette according to student population and similarly matched against each other.
But unlike the NCAA tournament, you determine who advances and who is left behind. Regardless of school size, only fan support — from parents, students, teachers, administrators and alumni — will guarantee victory.
Beginning Monday, Feb. 29 and continuing each week, you have the chance to vote for (or against) the schools of your choosing as they’re pitted against each other. A new round starts each Monday until only two teams remain. Our final round will begin Monday, April 4.
You can vote once per round per email. So get your friends and family involved to help ensure your school wins!
