Bluffton Red Cross volunteers respond to 4 disasters in 3 days
American Red Cross disaster action teams based in Bluffton fanned out across the Lowcountry, responding to four seperate incidents since Sunday.
Their efforts provided aid for 16 people, according to a Red Cross release.
The volunteers provided food, lodging, clothing and mental health services for victims of house fires on St. Helena Island, and in Hampton County and Colleton County.
They also assisted in Jasper County when a tree toppled over and split a mobile home in two, according to the release.
