Hilton Head announces 2016 burn day calendar

Hilton Head Island's first yard waste burning days are scheduled for Jan. 16 and Jan. 17, the town announced this week in the new 2016 calendar.

The town sets planned yard waste burn days twice each month. To register a burn, call 843-682-5125. Residents must call before lighting the fire to determine if projected weather conditions will allow burning.
