Blood donations sought in October

October is Liver Awareness Month and the American Red Cross is encouraging donors to give blood to support liver transplant patients and others.

Upcoming donation opportunities include:

• Noon to 6 p.m., Oct. 1: Carteret Street United Methodist Church, 408 Carteret St., Beaufort
• 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Oct. 7, American Red Cross Palmetto Office, 39 Sheridan Park Circle, No. 10, Bluffton
• Noon to 6 p.m., Oct. 8, Christ Lutheran Church, 829 William Hilton Parkway, Hilton Head Island.
