The SC primary runoff is Tuesday. Here’s what’s on the ballot

Election day for the statewide primary runoff is Tuesday, June 23.

The primaries were held on June 9, but some races were not decided on election day. In primaries with more than two candidates, a candidate must achieve a majority to win. Runoffs are required when no candidate receives a majority of votes.

Several primaries moved to runoffs. Here are the races you can vote in and how to do so:

How to prepare

To vote in the primary runoff, all you need to do is head to your assigned polling location with I.D. According to the Beaufort Board of Voter Registration and Elections, I.D. can be:

  • South Carolina driver’s license or I.D. card from the DMV
  • Voter registration card with a photo
  • Military I.D.
  • U.S. passport

Polls will open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Voters in line before 7 p.m. will be allowed to vote past closing. If you voted in the primaries on June 9, you must vote for the same party in the runoffs. You can vote in the runoffs for the party of your choosing if you did not vote in the primary.

Beaufort County changed some polling locations for the primaries. All polling locations can be found on Beaufort County’s runoff announcement, including temporary locations.
