Publix, Walmart, Aldi & more: Check here for Hilton Head, Bluffton stores open, closed Memorial Day

Memorial Day is Monday and it’s a great time for a big meal with friends and family. But if you’re planning to stock up on Monday, you may be wondering if your nearest grocer is open.

It can be confusing to figure out what is and what isn’t open. The good news is most stores will be open Memorial Day.

Here’s Beaufort, Bluffton, Port Royal and Hilton Head Island Grocery stores and when they’ll be open:

Publix

• Open for regular operating hours.
• Hours: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

These Publix locations close at 9 p.m.:

• New River Crossing
• Bluffton Commons
• Festival Centre at Indigo Park

Walmart

• Open for regular operating hours.
• Hours: 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Aldi

• Aldi stores slightly reduce their open hours on Memorial Day.
• Hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Food Lion

• Open for regular operating hours.
• Hours: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• The Food Lion at 10 Sams Point Rd, Beaufort closes at 11 p.m.

Kroger

• Open for regular operating hours.
• Hours: 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Harris Teeter

• Open for regular operating hours.
• Hours: 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.
• The Harris Teeter at 33 Office Park Rd, Hilton Head Island closes at 10 p.m.

The Fresh Market

• Open for regular operating hours.
• Hours: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Piggly Wiggly

• Hilton Head’s Piggly Wiggly will open at 7:30 a.m. but may close early. If so, a note will be posted on the door.
• Port Royal’s Piggly Wiggly is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

What won’t be open?

Memorial Day is a federal holiday, so USPS post offices will be closed. The USPS won’t deliver mail Monday either.

Banks will be closed as well. Online services and ATMs will continue to operate on Memorial Day. DMV locations will be closed, although online services remain available.
