Hilton Head Beach & Tennis sports bar to get a makeover. Take a peek
CocoNutz Sportz Bar, the on-site bar and grill at Hilton Head Island Beach & Tennis Resort, is getting a facelift.
The Town of Hilton Head Island Design Review Board reviewed plans Wednesday to transform the look and feel of the restaurant’s outdoor areas. Once completed, the side of CocoNutz facing Folly Field Road will be nearly unrecognizable to longtime patrons of the resort.
New outdoor areas, including a 900-square-feet addition to the deck, will offer diners more space to sit back and enjoy a basket of wings. Landscaping and hardscaping improvements will open up exterior areas to further increase dining capacity and create opportunities for outdoor entertainment.
Project officials hope the changes will transform the casual joint into a “more efficient, inviting and versatile dining and entertainment destination,” according design documents.
In addition to on-site dining, the longstanding resort boasts a variety of condos and villas available for rent and access to Folly Field Beach.
