3 can’t-miss seafood festivals to try across Beaufort County this February

From waterfront oyster roasts to rich seafood celebrations, Beaufort County is hosting a stretch of seafood-centered festivals this February.

Whether you’re cracking oysters under the Spanish moss or exploring Hilton Head’s dining scene, these three events are serving up true Lowcountry cuisine.

Taste of Bluffton

Bluffton’s signature oyster roast event returns to the May River waterfront this year. Located at Oyster Factory Park, Taste of Bluffton brings fresh local seafood, live music and coastal charm.

  • Date: Friday, Feb. 6
  • Time: 5 to 8 p.m.
  • Location: Oyster Factory Park, 63 Wharf Street, Bluffton
  • Tickets: $60 Chamber members; $70 non-members

Tickets include all-you-can-eat May River oysters, fresh local shrimp, pulled pork sliders and one drink ticket. A cash bar is also available.

All You Can Eat Oyster Roast

Presented by the ABLE Foundation, this roast in Port Royal offers a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere with plenty of oysters, live music and classic comfort food. Hosted at Live Oaks Park, proceeds help support those with disabilities.

  • Date: Saturday, Feb. 7
  • Time: 5 to 9 p.m.

Hilton Head Island Seafood Festival

Running for an entire week from Feb. 23 to March 1, the Hilton Head Island Seafood Festival features master classes, tastings and tours that take visitors beyond the plate. This year’s festival features a new partnership with the Gullah Celebration, honoring its 30th anniversary through storytelling, food and immersive cultural experiences.

The main attraction, however, is the Saturday Seafood Festival hosted at the Coastal Discovery Museum:

  • Time: 1 to 5 p.m.
  • Location: Coastal Discovery Museum: 70 Honey Horn Drive, Hilton Head
  • Tickets: $20 at the gate; $23.07 online. Children 12 and under enter free
