New juice and wellness shop opens in Beaufort. What to know, when to visit
A wellness-focused juicery built on quality and community has officially opened its doors in Beaufort.
Well House Juice, owned by Sam and Tim Boring, will formally open its brick-and-mortar location Thursday, Jan. 22, at noon.
The shop is located at 2139 Boundary Street, Suite 120, in Beaufort Town Plaza, next door to Ocha and Omni Health & Fitness.
Here’s what to know about the juicery and what it offers.
From Indiana to Beaufort
Tim and Sam moved to Beaufort from Indiana in 2020, settling in the Historic District after several years of traveling back and forth.
Before launching the juicery and relocating south, both spent decades working in pharmaceutical research — Tim for 32 years and Sam for 15. Sam also has a background as a personal trainer, and the couple shared a long-standing interest in wellness, nutrition and healthy living.
That passion ultimately led them to leave their corporate careers behind and start their own business.
“Tim has a very entrepreneurial mindset,” Sam Boring said. “So it took me a while to get on board with all of his ideas — until he mentioned juice.”
Well House Juice was established in 2022 and initially operated through local markets, pop-ups and community events, including regular appearances at the Port Royal Farmers Market and at The Kitchen on Sea Island Parkway.
But according to Sam, that slow approach was intentional.
“We wanted to enter the community first and not have the community come to us,” she said. “We weren’t sure Beaufort would even be receptive to juice, so we wanted it to grow organically.”
As demand grew and the couple sought more opportunities to educate customers directly, they decided to open a storefront, allowing for expanded offerings and more consistent availability.
The move to Beaufort Town Plaza was final in November, and the couple is now ready to formally open its doors to the community.
What they offer & the benefits of juice
At its core, Well House Juice specializes in cold-pressed, raw juices made with an emphasis on organic ingredients.
The shop offers 10 core juices, each priced at $10, with every bottle containing approximately 1.5 to 2 pounds of produce. Seasonal beverages are also available, and the business strives to source produce locally.
Sam said the amount of produce in each bottle is “like an IV drip of nutrients.”
“Since all the vitamins are packed in the juice, the body doesn’t have to work as hard to absorb it, so it’s an easy and delicious way to get the nutrients that you need,” she said.
In addition to juices, the menu includes wellness shots, wellness waters and small-batch almond milk made in-house, including cinnamon almond milk and a matcha latte with almond milk — Tim’s specialty.
A smoothie selection will debut at the grand opening, with a full lineup expected shortly afterward.
The juicery also carries select local goods, supporting area vendors and bringing a market-style concept into the storefront.
