Don’t miss these final Christmas events in Beaufort, Hilton Head & more

From twinkling lights, coastal traditions and community gatherings, residents and visitors to Beaufort County this holiday still have plenty of chances to celebrate the season.

No matter if you prefer running in festive costumes, singing carols by candlelight, watching classic holiday movies or even taking a chilly plunge, those hoping to squeeze in the last bits of holiday cheer won’t have to look far.

Here’s a roundup of the remaining Christmas and holiday events happening across Hilton Head, Bluffton, Beaufort and more:

Hilton Head Island

Polar Pines Express: Dec. 20

Travel to the Lowcountry’s version of the “North Pole” for a day filled with holiday crafts, festive activities, hot chocolate and treats at Heritage Farms starting at 1 p.m.

Movie Night at Coligny Theatre: Dec. 20

Sea Glass Stage Company will host a screening of “Die Hard” at 7:30 p.m. Come dressed to impress to compete in the Worst-Dressed Santa Costume Contest.

Jingle Bridge Run: Dec. 21

Get moving before the holidays and dress up in elf, Santa or other holiday costumes for this festive 5K and 10K run at 7 a.m.

Gregg Russell Christmas Concert: Dec. 23

Celebrate the season in Harbour Town at 147 Lighthouse Road, with a beloved Gregg Russell holiday performance, Christmas decorations and a visit from Santa starting at 7:30 p.m.

Sandy Sledding: Dec. 27

Who needs snow when you’ve got sand? Compete by building holiday-themed sleds and racing them down the sandy beaches at Sea Pines, 87 North Sea Pines Drive, starting at 1 p.m.

Holiday Fun at Harbour Town: Dec. 27–28

Enjoy classic holiday movies, roast marshmallows and take a train ride beneath the Liberty Oak Tree in Harbour Town for this two-day event, starting at 5 p.m. both days.

Paws and Claus Parade: Dec. 28

Dress your pet in their most festive outfit and let them take center stage in this holiday parade led by Santa at Harbour Town starting at 1 p.m.

Polar Bear Swim: Dec. 30

Brave the chilly Harbour Town pool to wrap up the year with a splash, starting at 11 a.m. Hot chocolate and refreshments are provided to warm up after taking a dip; 1 Lighthouse Lane.

Bluffton

Home Alone Movie Night at May River Manor: Dec. 19

Get into the holiday spirit with a festive outdoor movie night featuring “Home Alone” at 6:30 p.m. at May River Manor, 155 Old Miller Road. Tickets are required.

Bluffton Community Hanukkah Event Dec. 21

The Town of Bluffton will host the Hanukkah celebration from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Martin Family Park, 68 Boundary Street, starting at 5:30 p.m., to celebrate with community, music and reflection.

Christmas Eve Under the Stars: Dec. 24

Celebrate Christmas Eve at Bluffton Oyster Factory Park, 63 Wharf Street, with live music, candle lighting, free refreshments and communal singing under the night sky from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Beaufort

Santa Visits Downtown Beaufort: Dec. 20

Visit Santa in downtown Beaufort outside the Beaufort Candy Shoppe at 103 West Street Extension. Families and visitors are invited to stop by, say hello, snap festive photos and enjoy the historic downtown from noon to 4 p.m.

St. Helena Island

The Live Nativity Scene at Penn Center: Dec. 21

The Penn Center continues its holiday tradition with a live Nativity Scene performed by community members inside the historic Frissell Community House. This performance blends music, storytelling and history. The performance begins at 5:30 p.m. at 6 Penn Center Circle West.
