New basketball, fitness center coming to Bluffton. Here’s where, when it will open
Basketball lovers in Bluffton are about to get a major upgrade.
PickUp USA Fitness is headed to the Lowcountry, bringing the town a new 18,000 square-foot basketball facility and fitness club designed for nonstop hoops.
Located in Westbury Park, the project is scheduled to begin site work in the next few weeks, with an official groundbreaking set for early 2026. The facility is expected to open in 2027.
The center will be at 5 Westbury Park Way, at the roundabout at Plantation Park Drive and Westbury Park Way.
What is PickUp USA Fitness?
PickUp USA Fitness began in 2012 with one location in California and has expanded into a national chain specializing in basketball performance and organized play.
The facility in Bluffton will be geared toward athletes of all ages, and will include youth activities, adult leagues, shooting machines and pickup sessions. PickUp USA locations also offer fitness centers with gym equipment, free weights and a court reservation system for full, half and junior court spaces.
The Bluffton center will be one of the first PickUp USA locations in South Carolina. Other locations are also headed to Lexington and York soon.
How much is a membership?
First-time visitors looking to get on the court at a Pickup USA Fitness center can get a free trial or “guest pass” when signing up online.
Memberships at PickUp USA locations start around $30 a month and include unlimited access to courts and fitness facilities.
Franchise locations operate across the country, with nearby sites in Jacksonville, Florida and Concord, North Carolina.
