Sister Sister Deli & Market, a new neighborhood deli and gourmet market, is inching closer to opening its doors.

Owned by sister duo, Sami and Dani Mussman, the new dining location can be found at 403 Carteret Street and is set to be fully operational by Nov. 18.

When will this new restaurant open?

Sister Sister Deli & Market announced on Facebook its opening timeline, starting with a ticketed soft opening event from Nov. 6 to the 8.

The grand opening will follow on Nov. 13 through the 15, running from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

Regular business hours will then begin on Nov. 18, with the deli open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., serving both lunch and dinner.

What does Sister Sister offer?

Focused on American-made ingredients, small-batch goods and local, responsible sourcing, Sister Sister aims to blend the charm of a local deli with the appeal of a gourmet market.

The space will offer cut-to-order cheeses and charcuterie, house-made deli meats, pickles, and condiments, along with a rotating selection of sandwiches and Southern-inspired small plates like pickled shrimp, Old Bay shrimp melts and confit chicken wings.

In addition to a curated selection of market and menu items, guests can look forward to a brand new take on this historic space.

Renovations, which began back in June, revealed touches from the building’s past — including original hand-painted signs and repurposed planters — adding to the space's charm.
