Academy Sports + Outdoors set to open in Beaufort soon. Here’s when
Academy Sports + Outdoors is officially set to open next week, bringing sporting goods, outdoor apparel and other goods to the Beaufort area.
According to Brooke Fendley, spokesperson for Academy Sports + Outdoors, this new location will open to the public on Aug. 25 with a grand opening with deals, giveaways and a ribbon cutting set for Sept. 5-7.
The new retail store is taking over the vacant locations of T.J. Maxx and PetSmart from the Cross Creek Shopping Center, located at 320 Robert Smalls Parkway in Beaufort.
Academy Sports + Outdoors will be open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
What will Academy Sports in Beaufort offer?
The new location will offer 45,800 square feet of sporting goods, apparel and gear and bring 60 new jobs to the Beaufort area.
Clothing items and shoes are available for men, women and children, which range from everyday use to sport cleats.
They carry items for golf, baseball, tennis, pickleball, basketball, football, soccer, softball, wrestling, lacrosse and more. Fishing and hunting gear is also available for purchase, along with fishing and hunting licenses.
Hiking, camping and kayaking gear will also available, as well as boating supplies, bicycles, billiards tables, pool supplies, grills and patio sets.
Academy Sports + Outdoors offers both in-store or curbside pickup for online purchases. They also offer certain in-store services like reel line spooling, grill and bike assembly.
Academy Sports + Outdoors has other locations in South Carolina, including Aiken, Anderson, Columbia, Easley, Florence, Greenville, Rock Hill and Spartanburg.
