Coffee and doughnut lovers of the Lowcountry will soon have another spot for their morning coffee runs and afternoon pick-me-ups.

Dunkin’ Donuts, the popular doughnut chain known for its coffee drinks, sugary treats and breakfast items, is expanding its footprint to Bluffton soon.

Here’s what we know about the new store.

Where will the new Dunkin’ location be?

The new Dunkin’ will be located at 1002 Fording Island Road, in front of the Buffalo Wild Wings and Jimmy John’s in Kitties Crossing Shopping Center on Bluffton Road.

This new coffee shop will be a freestanding 2,240 square-foot location that includes a drive-through with dual travel lanes, along with indoor seating and an outdoor dining patio.

Construction and land clearing has already begun on the vacant lot, but an opening date or project timeline has not yet been confirmed.

This new Dunkin’ cafe is identified as a “next generation” store, meaning it will feature a modern design. Dunkin’ announced a rebrand in 2018, shortening its name from Dunkin’ Donuts.

For an added local touch, a sign stating “Bluffton runs on Dunkin’” will be placed on the side of the building.
