SC city chosen as first US headquarters for this German manufacturer. Here are the details
CS INSTRUMENTS, a global leader in compressed air and industrial gas measurement technology, has chosen Bluffton to house its first North American headquarters.
This addition to the community marks a notable investment in the local economy and job market. The company, based in Germany, will invest $3.6 million in a new facility and create 13 jobs in Beaufort County.
The 11,000 square-foot building will be located at 8237 Pinellas Drive, behind the Zips Car Wash and soon to be location of a new Island Bagel off Buckwalter Parkway. Construction is already underway, with completion expected by November 2025. Operations are scheduled to begin in December.
The space will house office areas, a warehouse, along with a service and training center.

Their technology is used for tasks such as leak detection, monitoring air quality, measuring dew points and tracking pressure levels, which are designed to help manufacturing, HVAC, oil, gas and other related industries run efficiently and safely.

The new facility in Bluffton is intended to aid in increasing product availability and the overall experience for North American customers.
“CS INSTRUMENTS choosing Bluffton as their U.S. headquarters speaks volumes about the town’s potential to attract innovative, forward-thinking companies,” Bluffton Mayor Larry Toomer said in a statement regarding the facility announcement.
CS INSTRUMENTS has purchased both the vacant lot on the left and the building space to the right, which is currently up for lease by Charter One Realty, providing space for additional growth for the company, said John Binder, commercial real estate broker for Charter One.
Construction of the facility is overseen by Kenneth Scott Builders.
