Looking for an ice-cold treat to beat the summer heat?

Hilton Head just got a little bit sweeter with its newest dessert destination, The Milkshake Factory.

Doors will officially open on June 7 for a soft opening, offering locals and summer visitors a menu full of desserts and handcrafted milkshakes. Their soft opening hours are 2 to 10 p.m., which will last until June 14.

Located at 1201 Main Street, right within the Main Street Village, The Milkshake Factory is tucked between other popular food stops, including Frankie Bones and Main Street Island Pub.

The Milkshake Factory will be open daily, starting June 15, from noon to 10 p.m.

Founded in 1914 by a family of Greek immigrants, the first shop was opened in Pittsburgh and began as a family gathering spot and soda shop. Today, the shop has expanded with numerous locations across the country.

This new shop in Hilton Head is the franchise’s only store in the Palmetto State, joining other locations across 15 states, including Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Virginia.

Construction on the new location began in April, transforming the space into a nostalgic-yet-modern destination for milkshake lovers.

What do they offer?

The Hilton Head location offers the brand’s full milkshake menu, featuring signature creations like:

  • Chocolate brownie fudge

  • Raspberry and creme

  • Salted caramel pretzel

  • Peanut butter brownie

  • Along with classic vanilla, strawberry and chocolate shake options

Also available are seasonal specials and limited-edition flavors, premium sundaes and root beer floats.

They also serve dairy-free shake options. Flavors include chocolate, cookies and creme, peanut butter and strawberry.

Other than milkshakes, they carry treats like:
