Looking to kick off the summer with a fun event, or maybe you’re on the hunt for an activity for the whole crew?

The Lowcountry area offers a handful of events and festivals ranging from weekly fireworks to lively concerts, family-friendly activities and Juneteenth and Pride celebrations.

With so many events to choose from, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Here’s a roundup of events happening around Beaufort County this June and what to know if you plan to visit.

Summer Events & Festivals in Hilton Head

Put the Beach to Bed with Sea Turtle Patrol HHI

  • Location: Beach House Hilton Head Island, 1 S Forest Beach Drive

  • Dates: Every Wednesday, June 4 to August 27

  • Details: Participants help prepare the beach for nesting sea turtles by filling in holes, knocking down sandcastles and removing items left behind.
