Annual Spartina Warehouse Sale 2025 will be in Bluffton. Here’s what to know
Spartina 449’s yearly warehouse sale that brings handbag lovers from far and wide to the Hilton Head Island High School gym will be held in Bluffton from Thursday, July 10 to Sunday, July 13. This will be Spartina’s 13th annual sale, but the first to be held across the bridge at Bluffton High School due to ongoing renovations at the Hilton Head venue.
The upscale handbag, accessories and apparel brand is known internationally, with products sold in retail shops, online and in its stores.
This year, tickets will go on sale starting Friday, June 6 at noon EST. In years past, the tickets have sold out in a matter of minutes.
Spartina’s Chief Revenue Officer Christy Sheets said that this year, about 7,000 tickets will be available for purchase. Tickets will range from $5 to $50 with additional perks at each level.
Like years past, all proceeds will go to charities. Last year, Spartina raised over $51,000 that they donated in full to local charities.
The Outside Foundation, Hilton Head Volunteers in Medicine and the Daufuskie Historical Foundation were the benefactors last year. This year’s recipients have not yet been finalized, Sheets said.
The event draws thousands of shoppers from across the country with high hopes of buying upscale bags, apparel, accessories, sports gear and even luggage on major sale — some merchandise is discounted up to 80% off retail price.

In addition to Spartina’s employees, the event enlists 200 “Mermaid Assistants” who are not only paid for their time but get additional perks. Those interested in being part of the Mermaid Crew can send an email to warehousesale@spartina449.com to join the application list.
Spartina was founded in 2009 by Kay Stanley, who created a linen and leather handbag collection that reflected the colorful patterns and unique heritage of Daufuskie Island, where she lived. There are currently 13 standalone Spartina stores, including one in Bluffton and one on Hilton Head. The Tanger Outlets on Hilton Head and in Savannah also have store fronts.
