Alejandro Patino, a 39-year-old man from Brunswick, Georgia, was driving a golf cart near a retention pond as part of his landscaping duties along Sagebrook Drive, according to the Beaufort County Coroner.

“During the course of his work, the golf cart lost traction on the terrain and slid into the pond, overturning and landing on top of him,” a police report said. “Patino became trapped and was unable to free himself.”
