Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the 2025 RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing, the Barbers of the Lowcountry mobile shop is behind the scenes, keeping the pros and staffers looking fresh all week long.

Conveniently located near the caddy and player lot, their pop-up locations offer quick cuts and shape-ups to the golfers, caddies and other helping hands that are on the go.

But this isn’t their first rodeo, according to owner Brent Nelsen. This is their third year serving fresh cuts at the RBC Heritage golf tournament.

“Throughout the week, before the first day of pro-playing, we are typically pretty busy Monday through Wednesday,” Nelsen said.

Providing quick 15 to 20 minute services, the Barbers of the Lowcountry have been a popular spot for players and support staff alike, offering a quick and convenient way to freshen up during the tournament. The Heritage Classic Foundation pays the small business to provide the service to customers for free.

“Early in the week, we usually see support staff and maybe a player, here and there,” Nelsen said. “We’ve been pretty lucky each year we’ve done this to see some popular names stop by.”

Of those course-famous names, some visitors to the pop-up truck this year include Billy Horschel, Justin Rose, Gary Woodland, Shane Lowry, Scottie Scheffler and Viktor Hovland, who all took a break from the green to hop in the barber chair.

One aspect of serving the pros that helps give back to the community is the autographed canvas each player signs when they visit.

“We have a charity golf tournament every fall and during RBC, we get players to sign this,” Nelson said. “Once our tournament rolls around, we raffle it off and the proceeds go to charity.”

If you find yourself in need of a trim, Barbers of the Lowcountry has three locations: Sheridan Park in Bluffton, Town Centre in Beaufort and one in Pooler, Georgia.
