As egg prices spiked earlier this year, costs have fluctuated in recent months as supply ebbed and flowed.
With the Easter holiday right around the corner, it’s a common tradition for families and friends to decorate and dye eggs to celebrate the holiday, but with prices remaining uncertain, is it even worth it this year?
Here is a price check for a 12-count carton of eggs at grocery store chains around the Lowcountry.
We aimed to stay with store brands to compare like to like as best as possible. If a store brand was not available, we went with the next best price comparable option or what was in stock.
