Want to help the needy in SC? Here are the top charity events in the Lowcountry for February
The month of February is a time full of love and giving and what better way to celebrate than with events that give back to your community.
Here is a rundown of the top charity events to visit each weekend this month.
Coligny Plaza’s SouperBowl of Caring
This annual event allows you to sample delicious soups from Coligny’s restaurants while also giving back to your community.
All proceeds of this event go to Second Helpings, a local food rescue organization. This organization rescues food and distributes it to 55 agencies across Beaufort, Jasper and Hampton counties and provides support to local food pantries.
This event will be held on Saturday, Feb. 8 from 1-4 p.m. at Coligny Plaza.
The SouperBowl of Caring has raised over $30,000 to fight hunger throughout the Lowcountry. This event is part of the national SouperBowl of Caring movement, which began in Columbia in 1990 and has raised millions for hunger relief charities across the nation.
Tickets are $25 and you can purchase them online.
Inaugural Jerseys and Dresses Tailgate

Brought to life by Hilton Head local, Stephanie Cauller, this event is a great way to give back to those who need it most (while also celebrating with your date).

Hilton Head Island Visitation Home
Spanning over Valentine’s weekend, this event will kick off on Feb. 14 with a welcome reception at FISH Coastal Cuisine and the main tailgate event will be on Feb. 15 at the Concourse of Hilton Head.
