While temperatures may be a bit chillier than normal this weekend, don’t let the cold snap break your holiday plans.

Colder and dryer weather is set to hit the Hilton Head area this weekend, with lows of 36 degrees Fahrenheit and wind gusts up to 22 mph.

Luckily, Christmas Day is forecast to be warmer, with a high of 66 degrees Fahrenheit and a 40% chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will be warmer after the weekend and Hilton Head can expect highs in the 50s and 60s with lows in the 40s.

If you do plan to venture outside over the holiday, be prepared for some slight winds and potential afternoon showers.

Here’s a look at the forecast over Christmas:

Monday: Sunny. Highs in the mid 50s

Tuesday: (Christmas Eve) Partly sunny. Highs in the upper 50s and a 20% chance of showers

Wednesday: (Christmas Day) Cloudy. Highs in the mid 60s and a 40% chance of showers
