Try your luck at these 4 Hilton Head area St. Patrick’s Day festivals

St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, taking center stage this coming weekend.

Are you planning on celebrating?

Aside from wearing your most festive green attire, donning shamrocks, looking for rainbows or even getting a popular Shamrock Shake from McDonald’s, there are several local events in Beaufort County to help get you as festive as you may choose.

  • The Hilton Head IrishFest Saturday Irish Concert is a part of the two-day IrishFest celebration on Hilton Head Island. The Saturday Concert will take place from 3-7 p.m. on March 16 at the park, which can be found adjacent to Coligny Plaza on the island’s south end. This is a free event for all to attend.

  • The Hilton Head IrishFest Parade is set to occur on March 17 during Hilton Head’s two-day IrishFest event. Wear your most fun green attire for the event as it is South Carolina’s oldest St. Patrick’s Day parade and is Hilton Head’s 39th annual parade for the holiday. The event will primarily take place on Pope Avenue as it is set to occur near the entrance of the Lowcountry Celebration Park, continue on Pope Avenue, and end at Park Plaza. The parade will begin at 2 p.m. The Breeze Trolley will be offering one-way trips from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on parade day and will be picking up at USCB Hilton Head and dropping off near Lowcountry Celebration Park.

  • The St. Patrick’s Day Party at Coligny is set to take place on March 17 just steps away from the annual parade. Event specials will be available throughout the day with featured entertainment scheduled between 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
