Here’s when 10 grocery store chains will be open around Christmas in the Hilton Head area

The holiday season can be a hectic time as the year comes to a close.

Last-minute shopping trips frequently become necessary amid family gatherings, events and celebrations. Whether you’ve forgotten to get a necessary ingredient or there is a last-minute guest joining your family for dinner, Christmastime certainly isn’t exempt from the holiday mania.

With Christmas being a national holiday, many places may not be open on the official day or will have limited hours, while many others will have set hours for Christmas Eve.

Here are the hours of operation for local grocery stores in Beaufort County during Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

  • The Fresh Market: Open on Christmas Eve from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Closed on Christmas Day.

  • Aldi: Open on Christmas Eve from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Closed on Christmas Day.

  • Walmart: Open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Closed on Christmas Day.

  • Sam’s Club: Open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Closed on Christmas Day.

  • Food Lion: Open from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Closed on Christmas Day.

  • Kroger: Open during regular hours of operation on Christmas Eve. Closed on Christmas Day.

  • Piggly Wiggly: Open for varying hours on Christmas Eve. Closed on Christmas Day.

  • Whole Foods: Open from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Closed on Christmas Day.

  • Harris Teeter: Open from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Closed on Christmas Day.

  • Publix: All stores open at regular hours and close at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Closed on Christmas Day.
