Hilton Head area brewing company releases holiday listings. Here’s what to expect

Lot 9 Brewing Company, a craft brewery in Bluffton, is releasing a new variety of beers amid the ongoing holiday season.

Located at 258 Red Cedar Street in Bluffton and open Tuesday through Sunday for varying hours, the popular Bluffton brewery will be introducing the new brews as well as a myriad of special holiday events.

Recent new beer releases at Lot 9 Brewing Co. include:

Knock Your Kilt Off: Scotch Ale; 9% ABV; 28 IBU’s; A Scottish-style ale brewed with all authentic ingredients. The Wee Heavy brew has aroma and flavor dominated by a smooth, balanced sweet malt, with also a medium degree of Carmel-like flavors and Esters of Plum, Rasin and dried fruit to round out this big beer. This ale was released on Friday.

No Slowin’ Down: Session IPA; 4.2% ABV; is half the calories and carbs of a typical brew and is light and refreshing; brewed with lemon drop and Azaaca hops.

Oce•Lot 9 Collaboration: A new HAZY IPA collaboration between Lot 9 Brewing Co. and Ocelot Brewing Co. will soon be released to hit Lot 9’s menu around Christmas time. It is brewed with Citra, Riwaka and Citra cryo hops; is 8% ABV and 26 IBU.

Candy Brew: Are you a fan of peanut butter cups? You might like the new brew that will be released soon. Each year, Lot 9 asks guests to vote on a Halloween candy that they want to see used in an upcoming brew. This year, REESE’s Peanut Butter Cup was chosen and 84 pounds of candy was added to this light copper-colored brew, which is currently fermenting away. The release of this brew may occur before the New Year.

These brews are served in a nitro pour style, so the only way to try them is in the Lot 9 Brewing Co. tap room.

Lot 9 Brewing Co. will also have several holiday events scheduled soon, such as a Bark & Brews Howliday Party on December 17 at noon, a Lowcountry Boil Pop-Up on December 23rd, trivia nights, a lobster pop-up and more.
