The holidays can be a hectic time of year and last-minute shopping trips frequently become necessary. Whether you’ve forgotten to get a necessary ingredient or there is a last-minute guest joining your family for dinner, Thanksgiving certainly isn’t exempt from the holiday mania.
With Thanksgiving being a national holiday, many places may not be open on Turkey Day or will have limited hours.
Here are six grocery stores that will be open on Thanksgiving in Beaufort County. Check with your local grocer as holiday hours may change as we begin to get closer to the holiday.
- The Fresh Market: Will be open from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.
- Whole Foods: Will be open from 7 a.m until 3 p.m.
- Harris Teeter: Will be open from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m.
- Food Lion: Will be open from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.
- Kroger: Will be open from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m.
- Piggly Wiggly: Holiday hours per store may vary. The Coligny Plaza location on Hilton Head Island will be open from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Other grocery store options such as Walmart, Target, Sam’s Club, Publix and Nantucket’s Meat & Fish Market will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
